General Background

After graduating from Bristol University, Clive originally worked as an electronics development engineer. He then gradually moved into the field of quality management and associated training and consultancy work. Before joining MIQAL in 1986, Clive worked in aircraft jet engine control, telemetry systems, technical publishing and the UK National Health Service.

The Microelectronics and Quality Assurance Laboratory (MIQAL) was a specialist industrial unit. Clive was responsible for the development and growth of MIQAL until its incorporation into the Quality Centre.
