| Abstract | An integrated management system (IMS) puts all the internal management practices into one coherent system. All ISO management standards are based on common principles and framework. Module 1 examines these principles and framework using ISO 9001:2008. This is a one day interactive course on understanding the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2008 Standard and how they might be implemented in an organisation. The course can be delivered externally or in-house. |

| Audience |
Many in an organisation may require to have an understanding of the ISO 9001: 2008 Standard including those who may be required to prepare documented processes/procedures etc. This course is a prerequisite to attending an ISO 9001: 2008 Auditor course. |

Quality Assurance / Quality Management Systems Tea /Coffee ISO 9001:2008 Background and Philosophy The Process Approach Lunch ISO 9001:2008 Clauses 1 (Scope), 2 (Normative Reference) and 3 (Terms and Definitions) Clauses 4 (Quality Management System) and 5 (Management Responsibility) Process Exercise No.1 and Feedback Tea /Coffee ISO 9001:2008 Clauses 6 (Resource Management) and 7 (Product Realisation) ISO 9001:2008 Clause 8 (Measurement, Analysis and Improvement) 1645 Close Formal study of the Standard is supplemented throughout the day by interactive practical exercises on "The Process Approach" and open forum discussion. |
