The Excellence Model asks that your strategic planning is properly focused on the achievement of the vision and mission, and supported by policies, plans, objectives and targets, and that is based on comprehensive and sound information.

In practice the model asks you to address the questions of:

  • How policy and strategy are based on information from performance measurements, research and improvement activities.
  • How policy and strategy are developed, reviewed and updated.
  • How policy and strategy are deployed.
  • How policy and strategy are communicated and implemented.
