Iain has over 14 years experience in the environmental management sector. One core area of expertise is in environmental management systems (EMSs) and he regularly advises clients on the development and implementation of systems, and assists in implementation to certification. In this role he has worked with over 50 organisations. Iain has also designed a tool for pollution risk reduction audits utilised throughout UK (with funding from SEPA/DTI).

He designs and delivers environmental management training to diploma level and designed an international diploma in environmental management. He is also designing a one day awareness training course in sustainable development for the service sector (offices, IT industry, leisure sector).

Iain co-designed and performs 5* environmental sustainability audits throughout the UK. Industry experience includes the petro-chemical, power generation, food and transport industries. Typical sites audited include power stations, refineries, smelters, MoD, major ports and fuel distributors. In addition to work in the UK he has worked in Ireland, the Middle East and Norway.

He has delivered extensive environmental training. This has primarily been the Diploma in Environmental Management (DipEM) delivered at locations throughout the UK. Training delivered has included EMS/ISO 14001, environmental auditing, environmental risk assessment, ecology, global environmental outlook, life cycle assessment, waste and energy management, environmental due diligence and sustainable development and other environmental topics. Iain is an examiner for Associate level for the IEMA.

Part of Iain's auditing duties has included waste audits for many organisations including the PVC/construction/distillation and transport sectors and small - medium enterprises. Industry experience includes petro-chemical, power generation, food and transport sectors and typical sites audited include power stations, refineries, smelters, MoD, major ports and fuel distributors. In addition to work throughout the UK he has provided environmental services in Ireland, the Middle East and Norway.

• Environmental Legislation: Perform on-site environmental legislation compliance audits for SMEs and major operators
• Perform IER, advise on ISO 14001 help introduce environmental management systems for following sectors: electricity generation / construction / paper - pulp mills / metal forging / transport / drainage / food processing / printing / aquaculture / prison service /petro-chemical.
• Design and deliver environmental training at Diploma level : EMS/ Ecology / Sustainable Development / Eco-labelling (14020) / Waste management / Energy Management / Env reporting / Env Legislation / Life Cycle Assessment / Env Auditing / ISO 14031 / Global Environmental Outlook / Environmental reporting / 14001 / Env Due Diligence (ISO 14015) / Life Cycle Assessment (14040) / Environmental Impact Assessment - Strategic Env Assessment / Env Risk Assessment
• Deliver training to International delegates: Provide International Diploma in Environmental management for delegates from Hong Kong, Qatar, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, New Zealand, Sudan, Latvia
