The Aim of the Course is to provide information on:

  • how to identify your business processes
  • the benefits of continual improvement of processes
  • tools and techniques for process improvement including:
    1. mapping processes
    2. gathering data
    3. cause and effect diagram
    4. pareto analysis
    5. run charts
    6. control charts

Our course provides:

  • Short introductory lectures addressing the most frequently asked questions
  • What is a process?
  • Why should I concentrate on improving my processes?
  • What are the costs and benefits of continual process improvement?

The Phased Approach to Continual Process Improvement

A series of short lectures interspersed with practical sessions, working in teams, identifying and using the techniques necessary to:

  • Identify the problem
  • Analyse the cause(s) of the problem
  • Identify appropriate corrective actions
  • Implement corrective actions
  • Verify and monitor improvement activity
