Criterion 8: Society ResultsWorld-Class organization's strive to be part of the local, national and international communities. They take steps to be "good citizens", wherever they operate.
To show your committed and involvement in the community you must produce results which show what you are achieving in relation to the community and society.
Results considered will be in terms of perceptions measures and performance indicators.
Perception measures:
These are measures of society's perception of the organization. Perceptions may be gathered from, for example, surveys, reports, public meetings, public authorities.
Performance indicators:
These measures are internal, which monitor current performance, which are reliable predictors of the performance of the organization and of the perceptions of society. The Excellence Model requires perception and performance results in some or all of the following areas:
- Performance as a responsible citizen.
- Involvement in the community.
- Reduction / prevention of nuisance from the organization's operations.
- Actions to improve the sustainability of resources.
- Performance indicators, e,g. employment, press coverage, awards.
